Ho Chi Minh, or Saigon - as many locals still call it. I personally don't know where that name came from, but Saigon is not your typical tourist destination.
(or maybe I'm biased)

It's a city that hits you right between the eyes: the chaos of motorbikes weaving through traffic, the smells of street food everywhere you go. Saigon can be both modern and vintage at the same time. It's a city that's loud, fun, rough around the edges, and kind.

And this is also the city where I've grown up, so we got a lot of stories to share.

The city isn't a monotoned giant, but a vibrant mosaic. Each district hums with its unique tune. We have District 1 specific for shopping and tourism, while district 5 is full of local street food, and so much more. Saigon isn't just a place, it's a kaleidoscope of experiences waiting for people to unfurled.

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) or Saigon
— Vietnamese:  Hồ Chí Minh
— Vietnamese: Sài Gòn

... is the most populous city in Vietnam. The city's geography is defined by rivers and canals, and Saigon River is the largest. As a municipality, Ho Chi Minh City consists of 16 urban districts, five rural districts, and one sub-city.
Saigon's been my home for over two decades, a witness to my triumphs and tearful moments. Every return to the city feels like a homecoming after a lifetime away, to be honest.

I hate being lonely, and probably that's why I love Saigon.
The people, the shops, the vibrant pulse of the city – there's always somewhere to wander, someone to share a story with, something to lose myself in.

... when I’m
not at a cafe
(and/or
eating)
Saigon is always full of energy. Really.

What I like about I like the most about Saigon is "Saigonese". Somehow, you will always feel welcomed here: navigation, where to eat, what to do, etc., don’t be shy to ask, I bet the locals know everything.

Personally, there's no better way to enjoy Saigon than getting a to-go banh mi than sitting at my favorite coffee shop the whole day to work. That’s when I’m productive the most.

Some of my memorable moments

2019

You can totally see how confused I was about the future. This picture was taking in my senior year in high school: didn't know what to do
and was trying super hard to figure things out...

2018

Van, Vy and me, we were hanging out for the first time after we left middle school.

This was also when I first got into film, just wanting to take pictures of everything.

2018

What I love the most about my high school year is doing curricular activities, and that was also how I got into design.

Saigon gave me a lot of things. In the picture is my first mentor in my design journey and to the left is my first creative partner!

2019

Me & Leo, my best friend, were working on our high school exit test. At this point, I already knew what I wanted to do - going to a design school, so the exam, which includes math, physics and chemistry, doesn't really matter to me anymore.

2019

This was taken in one of the historical museums.

Still trying to figure things out at this time. There were some moments I just loved randomly going around Saigon, this trip wasn't in our plan, but we ended up here, which I really loved.
